German Heritage

Kitchener has the strongest German heritage because of the early settlers in this area who has German-speaking immigrants. A few Germans from Europe started moving from Europe in the year 1819, including Fredrick Gaukel, a hotel keeper. He built the Walper House in Berlin. At present, two of the streets in Kitchener, Frederick and Gaukel streets, are named after him. There are other German immigrants who arrived during the 1830s to 1850s, bringing with them their language, religion, and cultural traditions. German public schools and German language churches were established by them. In 1871, Berlin, Ontario, was a bilingual town with German being the dominant language.

Impacted wisdom teeth is a disorder where the third molars are prevented from coming out into the mouth. This can be caused when the tooth is angled away from a vertical position. If this is the case, dentists usually recommend the extraction of the impacted teeth to preserve the health of the neighboring teeth and your entire mouth. At MI Dental, located in Kitchener, Ontario, they only extract a tooth when absolutely necessary and when there are no other available options. They will perform all procedures with an anesthetic so you can rest assured that you will remain completely comfortable.
